I am a person who has grown with the news all around regarding terrorism. The way it has grown and laid down its foundations in several countries I believe it won't be that easy to get rid of it. When I read history, I found that countries used to fight with each other and there was World War 1 & 2... But I am quite sure there would be new chapters in history where my children will study about terrorism and how countries dealt with it.
But now what makes me uncomfortable is the media/journalists... how they portray the image of terrorists and terrorism. Generally in news I see them remarking terrorists as "Pakistani terrorist" or "
Kashmiri terrorist" or "
Taliban terrorism". If you will go on Google search and type "
Muslim terrorist" then you will get 1,850,000 results. Now I do not understand this... as I feel after a decade when people will try to know more about terrorism what they will get is
kasmiri's are terrorist... or
Pakistanis are terrorist.
But this is not true. We are building tough walls to keep terrorism alive. We are creating a
hatred among people based on region and religion. And I believe this is been
portrayed by the media.
Terrorists are no different people. After all they are human beings and wanted to live a life like us. But they were
misguided by people and how they differ from others is that they have
hatred filled in their heart. Anybody who has
hatred filled with in will tend to become destructive.
